Over £1000 in donations

Over £1000 in donations - SW Fruit & Veg
Wow what a month, in April (our first month) we managed to secure over £1000 in donations from our customers through the 'Donate a Box' scheme. Thank you to everyone who donated.
So what did we do with your cash?
We partnered with Age UK Wandsworth and our produce has been included in their food parcels which are being delivered to vulnerable and elderly households within the borough. We have been included in over a 1000 weekly packages to those in need.
We also paired up with Home Cafe in Earlsfield. They have re-purposed to cook hot meals for local people including NHS workers, children who are normally on free school meals and elderly people in the community. Our weekly donations are contributing to over half of their weekly produce needs helping to reduce their costs and reach more people.
So what next?
Our aim for the coming month is to partner with more charities in the area and get your donations to those who need it most. We are looking at pairing with more foodbanks and homelessness charities.
If you know of any organisations who are looking for support, please reach out to sarah@swfruitandveg.com with your ideas. We would love to hear from you.
Don't forget, you can still donate a box via our website. If you do, you will qualify for free delivery! We will cover the costs of delivery so your money can go to where ti is needed.
Thank you again for your support. Your donations are directly contributing to supporting local people stay healthy when they need to most.
